Assist the General Manager by managing the daily operations of the bakery-cafe to ensure company standards are maintained and continually improved.
Fundamental Job Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Complete knowledge of bakery menu items and preparation.
Assist in the development, supervision and monitoring of all Associates.
Communicate and ensure adherence to all bakery-cafe policies and procedures.
Perform operational activities such as inventory control, scheduling, and sanitation, planning, maintaining stock and monitoring food supplies.
Support the General Manager and make operational decisions in his/her absence.
Incorporate the 5 concept values into daily operation of the bakery-cafe.
Assist in helping the bakery-cafe adhere to P.E.G.S. standards.
Maintain Quality Bakery-Cafe Operations While Ensuring Guests Satisfaction.
Establish and build positive relationships with guests to ensure satisfaction and continued sales.
Assist in ensuring the bakery-cafe is staffed to maintain company essence and quality standards.
Management and Development of Associates
Supervise the daily operation of the bakery-cafe.
Assist the General Manager in hiring, training, evaluating and disciplining associates.
Act as a role model and demonstrate professional behavior with associates.
Assist the General Manager in food cost management, analyze and under P&L factors.Physical Demands of the Essential Functions:
Ability to stand for up to twelve hours.
Good mobility.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work well under pressure.Working Conditions while performing the essential functions:
Fast paced, multi-tasked environment.Qualifications Needed (education and skills)
IL Food Service Sanitation License
2-3 years restaurant management experience, preferably in limited food service.
Exposure to financial accountability.
Ability to plan, motivate and develop others.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.Bargaining Agreements and Contracts
Ability to pass background check
